Dr. Tupas was born and raised in the
Philippines, where she obtained her Medical Degree from
the University of Santo Tomas, in Manila, the oldest
Catholic University in the Far East. She then did a
one-year Rotating Internship at the Makati Medical Center,
also in Metro Manila, after which she engaged in General
Practice for four years while she raised a family.
She finished her three-year Pediatric
Residency at Lincoln Medical and Mental Health Center
in Bronx, New York as well as the Westchester Medical
Center in Valhalla, New York, where she was Assistant
Chief Resident during her PL-3 year. After this, she
joined the Pediatric Emergency Room Attending Staff
at Lincoln Hospital for one year.
She later joined the Childrens
Hospital of Orange County Ambulatory Care Services where
she is currently the Medical Director, as well as the
Pediatric Residency Co-Coordinator for Adolescent Medicine
and Medical Director of the CHOC Spina Bifida Clinic.
Dr. Tupas is part of the general pediatrics
group called PACC (Pediatric and Adolescent Comprehensive
Care Medical Group).
