The mission of California Chapter 4, AAP and
the Children’s
and Family Commission of Orange County both endeavor to improve the
health and welfare of children in OC by creating a strong relationship
and linkage between the AAP, area pediatricians, and school nurses.
The School Readiness Nurse Integration Program’s
main objectives include promoting lifelong health practices in
children 0-5 and their families; to prevent and/or decrease health
problems, diseases and disorders; and to facilitate early identification
and treatment of health and developmental problems.
If you are a healthcare provider and you are
faced with a problem of which you cannot find a reasonable solution,
please contact the School Readiness Nurse Integration Program’s
physicians and we will assist you in finding you resources. Our
program can provide medical expertise in managing complex diagnoses
and in providing additional resources and referral options you
