TITLE: PHYSICAN

JOB FUNCTIONS:
The
Physician shall be responsible for participating
in the process of determining eligibility for
persons applying for regional center services,
in the review of consumer’s health status
and working with regional center staff and community
physicians to facilitate optimal medical care
for active consumers. Works closely with Regional
Center nurses and psychologists.
- Completes neurological
and general examinations when appropriate,
assists with the preparation of reports relating
to the consumer’s
medical status or eligible diagnosis, recommends
further evaluations as needed.
- Maintains liaison
with the medical community.
- Provides consultation
with regional center staff on medical and
health related problems of the consumer.
MINIMUM
QUALIFICATIONS:
M.D. degree, expertise
in pediatrics, internal medicine and/or neurology,
specific
training or experience in the field of developmental
disabilities, belief in the philosophy of normalization,
ability to work with persons with developmental
disabilities of any age, valid California driver's
license, valid California medical practitioner's
license.

MONTHLY SALARY
RANGE: $9,811
- $13,495
